Idol Hands Tattoo is a custom tattoo studio located at 1445 Main St E, Hamilton, Ontario. When we say "we," "us," or "our" in this policy, that's who we're talking about.

What we collect

When you book or inquire about an appointment: your name, phone number, email address, and details about your tattoo request (including reference images you provide and the area of your body to be tattooed).
When you come in for your appointment: your government-issued photo ID (viewed for age verification -- we do not copy or store your ID), your signed consent and waiver forms, and any health information you disclose that is relevant to safely tattooing you (such as allergies, skin conditions, medications, or pregnancy).
When you pay: payment information is processed through our third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card or debit card numbers.
When you interact with us online: your name, email, social media handle, and any information you include in messages sent to us through our website, email, social media, or phone.
Photos of completed work: with your permission, we may photograph your tattoo for our portfolio, website, or social media. We will always ask before photographing and before posting.
Why we collect it
We collect personal information for the following purposes:

How we store and protect it
Your information is stored securely and access is limited to studio staff who need it to do their jobs. Consent and waiver forms are kept on file as required for health and safety documentation. Digital communications (emails, DMs, booking info) are stored on password-protected devices and platforms.
We retain your information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.
Third-party services
We use third-party tools and platforms to run our business. These may include payment processors, booking software, email providers, and social media platforms. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. We choose providers that maintain reasonable privacy and security standards, but we are not responsible for their practices.

Photos and social media
We will never post photos of your tattoo without asking first. If you give consent and later change your mind, let us know and we will remove the content within a reasonable timeframe.
Minors
We do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
